Ali is an accomplished contemporary jazz singer, with a smoothhoney voice. Ali has just returned from 5 months in the south ofFrance where she had been gaining experience singing in cafes and bars. She also had 2 months in Kona, Hawaii singing with the classical/jazz duo Sakura Ensemble.Ali brings her personality to the stage, adapting her music and style to the audience and mood. Ali’s passion for music is infectious and can also create a mood for the event.
Ali’s latest work has been with jazz trio Cameo Jazz based in Christchurch New Zealand. Performances are across a range of genres: ballads, bossa, swing, jazz, covers for weddings, events, special occasions.
Ali can perform as a lead singer or provide harmony or back-up as required.
From a musical family Ali discovered her passion for singing at an early age. She has been singing and playing piano for 20 years and has been involved in many musical events, including a local choir, and jazz choir. Trained by renowned New Zealand jazz artist Malcolm McNeill and coached by New Zealand jazz performer Naomi Ferguson Ali has developed a good reputation as a session singer.
